One of the coolest places to grab a beer or get your swim on in Palm Springs is Ace Hotel. The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs sort of embodies that hipster, mellow, desert vibe but in a way that is actually cool. I probably visit Ace Hotel 3-4 times a year for some cold drinks and to soak up some warm sun, but this last visit was a work trip for Alison and Chris’s November wedding. That meant the cold cocktails would have to wait until I finished up my wedding photography obligations.

Alison and Chris are from Orange County and decided to get married in Palm Springs because they wanted a wedding that felt like a destination wedding. They also are really into the whole boating scene so having warm weather was definitely something that they were looking for. Oh and lastly they wanted a venue that was fun. Needless to say, Ace Hotel pretty much fit the description perfectly.

Both Alison and Chris got ready on property and then i found a little spot near some white concrete walls to set-up the first look. Once the bride and groom saw each other and had that moment, I took some photos of the bridesmaids and groomsmen. The guys were all pretty hungover from drinking IPAs the night before but I told them that we were going to do the groomsmen photos in the Amigo Room which is the on-site bar and that they would all be required to drink some beer for the sake of good photos. They reluctantly agreed and naturally getting back on the booze horse made everyone feel alive again. The executive decision to get the beer consumption flowing again was the catalyst that set the tone for some high energy boozing and wedding fun. We partied, we screamed and we kicked ass at Ace Hotel. Below are the images from the wedding day. Cheers!
