Wedding At Casa Cody
When Melissa and Drew were looking into venues for their May 2018 wedding they really wanted something in Palm Springs that was able to accommodate close family & friends, and was close to a city hub for additional accommodations such as any pre or post-partying. Basically, they were looking for a spot that could be the epicenter for their weekend long party. So yeah this was a couple that wanted to have fun with their crew and keep the good times rolling! That meant beers in the pool, sunshine and somewhere along the way a kick ass wedding. Naturally, the iconic Casa Cody was the perfect location for the intimate and cozy Palm Springs wedding! Although it was blazing hot in the desert on the wedding day (100+ degrees) that did not stop Melissa and Drew from laughing, dancing and having an amazing time with friends & family. Below are some photographs from that day in Palm Springs for Melissa and Drew’s Casa Cody wedding!
The Wedding Venue: Casa Cody
Casa Cody is one of the few Palm Springs wedding venues that offers a lot of history because it was actually one of the locations silver screen mega star Charlie Chaplin would go to get some R&R. In fact, the Adobe House (which is usually where most brides get ready) has a small stage in it where Chaplin would entertain guests late at night. I would like to think Casa Cody was the place he would go when he wanted to escape the movie life stress in Hollywood for some recreational cocaine and hookers. The history of Casa Cody is great but what also makes the wedding venue awesome is that it has a limited number of rooms (28) making it perfect for anyone who wants to rent out the entire property for a kick ass Palm Springs wedding that can turn into a full weekend of shenanigans!
Congrats to Melissa and Drew and everyone else who handled the 106 degree temperatures with a smile on their faces, especially the other wedding vendors (I am looking at you Marisa and crew from Seven Stems Florals & Event Planning)!
