When a couple Brits contact you about getting married in Palm Springs and then escaping the desert heat with some cold beers after the wedding my answer will always be YES! The moment Sarah contacted me I was instantly enamored with the prospect of photographing her and Matt’s wedding. This is because she was totally cool with me wearing shorts, having creative control and knocking back a couple beers throughout the day. It is exactly the way I would document one of my friend’s weddings and that was how it felt talking with and photographing Sarah. She makes you feel like you have been friends for years even though you probably just met. It is an awesome quality few people have. My guess is in a past life she sold used cars or something like that.
So the day of the wedding started off with Sarah, Matt and their immediate family getting some breakfast and drinking champagne at the Parker hotel, which is a pretty awesome location that photographs really well. We then jetted off to Palm Springs City Hall where a receptionist instantly turned into a officiant, married Matt and Sarah, then went back to clerical duties. She was like the Superman of weddings. It was both pretty rad and pretty weird. After a couple quick snaps in front of City Hall we headed to the desert. It was damn hot that day (114 degrees) and Sarah and Matt were total champs, which was nice considering the British tend to have a reputation for being complainers. I will blame Mr. Bean for that false representation of Brits. Basically, I was the one complaining the whole time about the heat. I was acting like a little girl. I really need to be more of a man sometimes and suck it up. I think my Dad would be disappointed in me and that is probably why he hasn’t hugged me since the Fall of 2009. Hell at this point I just wish I could grow a sweet beard like the one Matt has….oh well….
Below are some of the wedding photos of Matt & Sarah’ Palm Springs wedding and I am stoked about the entire set. I wish you both the absolute best Matt & Sarah! Your families were both lovely and it truly was a great experience meeting all of you and photographing such an important day in your lives. I hope you kept the party rocking all day long. I take that back, I hope you keep the party going forever. CHEERS!
THANK YOU again Sarah and Matt for allowing me to photograph such a rad couple all while wearing shorts. This was my first wedding where I ever w0re shorts and I have to say it was pretty spectacular experience so thank you for that!

If you take my photos without consent I will literally send male strippers to your work once a week for life. And not muscular Latin dudes that look like Mario Lopez. I am talking about little people with all sorts of weird facial and body hair.
