Palm Springs Courthouse Wedding

Every time I have a wedding scheduled in Palm Springs I get excited because that means I will get to have nachos at El Jefe at the Saguaro hotel off Palm Canyon for lunch or dinner. These nachos are so amazing that I simply cannot articulate in words how they make me feel, but I will say they warm both my heart and stomach. That sizzling skillet heating up that deep-fried cactus, mushrooms, black beans, white cheese….oh man. Total food boner going on right now for me. However, this is not a blog post about my love for the El Jefe vegetarian nachos, but rather a wedding post about two awesome guys named Brian and Jamie. These dudes planned a little vacation in the desert with the intention to get married at the local Palm Springs courthouse among some very close family and friends.

They wanted something very simple, intimate and most importantly relaxing for everyone involved. So they booked their plane tickets, rented an awesome house, set their appointment to get married at the courthouse and prepared for some classy drinking good times. Somewhere along the line, they had an epiphany that this day was so meaningful to them they should consider finding a Palm Springs wedding photographer to document part of their wedding day. Good call guys! This is when they reached out to me. Now reaching out to me on short notice is usually never going to end well for a potential client because of wedding dates in September and October book up sometimes as early as a year and a half in advance. But when I checked my hectic wedding schedule I left one weekend open to basically catch up on the work that I knew would be piling up before the start of an even more hectic Autumn wedding season. I knew I would need that time off to get organized and caught up, but since Brian and Jamie were so authentic and only needed 2-3 hours of photo coverage I decided to join them for the wedding festivities. That was a good call by me. I had a great time with them and their crew, and the post-wedding nachos were breathtaking. Below are some of the images from Brian and Jamie’s Palm Springs courthouse wedding. Congrats guys!
