One of the things that must suck more than anything is having to ask your wedding vendors if they offer services for same sex couples. I mean how freaking lame is that? Planning a wedding is stressful enough and the last thing a couple needs is some stupid ass vendor saying they won’t work with them over “religious” reasons. Unfortunately, this is the reality for gay people because a lot of wedding photographers and people in the wedding industry are conservative Christian folks who do not agree with same sex couples getting married. I think many of us recall a recent news story of the baker in Denver, Colorado who wouldn’t make a cake for a same sex couple because of that whole “religious” excuse. Well let me just this, if you are turning business away because you don’t want to work with a same sex couple then you are A) a shitty business person for alienating a segment of your potential market, B) deserving of bad business reviews because what you are doing really isn’t cool, and C) you are basically a dickhead. Of course, these are likely the same people who booze it up (nothing wrong with that), gossip about other people and generally conduct themselves at times in a way that contradicts the Bible but for some reason are appalled at the notion of two people in love having something close to equal rights. However, I don’t want this to be a long commentary about equality, but rather the kick ass story of Camille and Vesela’s wedding in Dana Point, California!

Now I have been lucky enough to photograph beach weddings in San Clemente, Los Angeles, Yosemite and other cool locations all over Southern California, but honestly I could care less about the backdrop when the people are awesome. And Camille and Vesela were certainly awesome. These two girls had this awesome Jewish wedding ceremony on the property of a Dana Point restaurant called Chart House. The Chart House was also the location of the reception. The girls drank, danced, got married and ate cake like the champions they were that day. I will stop babbling on and let you check out the photos from Camille and Vesela’s Dana Point wedding!
