Temecula, California
Wow. So this particular wedding was one I was looking forward to photograph all year. One of the reasons was because Kristina and Lori’s wedding would be the first gay wedding I had ever photographed professionally. I wasn’t nervous in the least bit about photographing a same sex wedding at all and really am never nervous about any wedding at this point, but I was excited about the possible challenges because a) two girls bring a different dynamic than the standard bride/groom and b) the wedding day forecast was rain. As a Southern California wedding photographer, there are few things that make us a little antsy and the possibility of rain is one of those things. These gorgeous girls chose Danza Del Sol Winery as their venue so if it were to rain that would mean a lot of mud in the vineyards. And in case you were wondering mud and white wedding dresses go together like chocolate syrup and ice cold hot dogs. I prepared all week to kick ass even if it rained cats, dogs or f***ing bobcats, but thankfully after some morning showers the sun came through and saved the day. We ended up getting AMAZING colors in the sky and the day was just perfect. Which was meant to be because from the very first email I received from Kristina when she inquired about wedding photography all the way up until after the wedding when I went back with the wedding party and drank for a couple more hours off the clock…it was all rad. So yeah this was my first gay wedding and I am totally thrilled about it and only hope these girls enjoy these photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them. Cheers to you Kristina and Lori! And THANK YOU for letting me be a part of such a special moment in both your lives. You rock!
A special shout out to the best wedding coordinator in the Temecula Valley: Cara Goset. It is always an absolute pleasure getting to spend the day with you and the crew at Danza Del Sol Winery! Oh and another thank you to Emi for second shooting with me and helping me tell the best possible story for Kristina and Lori!

P.S. After the wedding I was a personal Uber for Lori and a couple of the girls so they decided to thank me with some beers. Below are a couple iPhone 5 photos I took using VSCOcam. If you are into the whole VSCO thing and enjoy iPhone photography please feel free to check out my VSCO Grid.
