Estancia La Jolla Wedding In San Diego, CA

If you want guaranteed beautiful weather for your wedding, San Diego should be at the top of your list. And if you are considering San Diego, Estancia La Jolla needs to be on your radar. As a wedding photographer with 15+ years of experience, Estancia is one of those venues that just delivers every single time.

This post is part venue guide, part real wedding gallery. A huge thank you to Brett and Danielle for allowing me to share photos from their intimate La Jolla wedding so you can get a genuine feel for the space and what a wedding day here actually looks like.

Now, Brett and Danielle got married in 2020, which as we all know was a whole situation. The pandemic cut the guest count dramatically and scrapped a lot of the original plans. But here’s the thing: the team at Estancia made everything so seamless and personal that none of that really mattered. Shoutout to the kick-ass staff there for taking such good care of this couple and every vendor on the day. And honestly, Brett and Danielle handled the whole craziness with such positive energy. Truly inspiring. Cheers to you both, Mr. and Mrs. Yamamoto.

Estancia La Jolla Wedding Cost

TL;DR: How much does a wedding at Estancia in La Jolla cost? $33,127

Engaged couples searching for rad San Diego wedding venues that offer outdoor ceremonies should definitely check out the event space at Estancia Hotel in La Jolla. One of the cool features of this La Jolla wedding venue is that your guests can drink all night and simply pass out right on the property (well, in their hotel rooms, not the actual garden courtyards… unless they like to party). Most couples spend on average $33,127 when getting married at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. This pricing reflects a 125-person guest count ($200.00 per wedding guest) for food and beverage on a Saturday evening during the wedding season. This Estancia La Jolla wedding cost also includes sales tax and gratuity, but does not include rentals, decor, entertainment, DJ, valet, videography, or San Diego wedding photography services.

7 Reasons Why Estancia Stands Out Among Brides

Looking for a coastal San Diego wedding venue? Estancia La Jolla is one of my personal favorites. Located on Torrey Pines Road in La Jolla, the property is gorgeous. Historic Spanish architecture, sprawling gardens, hacienda style buildings. After 15+ years shooting weddings across Southern California, Estancia is a venue I genuinely love shooting at. But here are 7 reasons I think you might like the location for your wedding ceremony and reception.

1

Historical Beauty. The Spanish architecture and terra cotta details transport guests to another era.

2

Sprawling Gardens. These award-winning gardens are a photographer’s dream, offering unique backdrops for wedding photos.

3

Versatile Spaces. Whether you fancy an outdoor garden wedding or an elegant indoor ceremony, Estancia accommodates.

4

Poised to Host. With over 210 luxurious rooms, your wedding guests will be comfortable all wedding weekend long.

5

Professional Touch. Their seasoned event manager ensures that every detail, from wedding caterers to decor, aligns with your vision.

6

Location, Location! Moments away from Mission Bay and upscale shopping hubs, there’s no shortage of activities for guests.

7

Personalized Service. Renowned for its unparalleled service, every facet of your wedding experience is tailored to you.

In your search for San Diego wedding venues, Estancia La Jolla offers a blend of luxury, history, and natural beauty that’s hard to surpass. Just imagine saying your vows amidst lush greenery, as the California sun casts a golden hue. An Estancia La Jolla wedding is certainly for the bride who wants elegance, but also wants to have a little fun.

Estancia La Jolla Ceremony & Reception Spaces

Where To Say I Do (And Where To Party After)

Estancia gives you options, which is a big part of why I like shooting here so much. For the ceremony itself, most couples land on either the Olive Lawn, a cozy spot ringed by olive trees that tops out around 130 guests, or the Garden Courtyard, the bigger of the two with room for up to 420, flanked by a pair of staircases that make for a genuinely dramatic entrance. Once the vows are done, the reception moves indoors to either the Grande Room, which holds roughly 130 for a more intimate dinner and dance floor, or the La Jolla Ballroom, the largest room on property at up to 420, with a covered patio attached for cocktail hour or a photo booth setup. Whichever combination you pick, the Spanish architecture and terra cotta tones carry through everywhere, so nothing feels mismatched between ceremony and reception.

Getting Ready & Rehearsal Dinner Options

Prep Suites And Pre-Wedding Dining

Estancia sets up separate dressing suites for the bride’s side and the groom’s side, so getting-ready photos happen in their own space rather than everyone crammed into one hotel room. Both suites get good natural light, which as a photographer I genuinely appreciate, since it means I’m not fighting bad lighting during the getting-ready portion of the day. If you’re planning a rehearsal dinner or a farewell brunch, the property has you covered there too: Adobe el Restaurante seats around 70 and works well for a bigger group, while the Trinitas Cellars Private Dining Room is the move for something more intimate, seating up to 30 for a cozy, fireside dinner surrounded by wine bottles.

Why The Estancia Is Best For La Jolla Hotel Weddings

Southern California’s Best Event Spaces For A Real Wedding

When researching Southern California wedding venues, I’d highly recommend you check out each location in person so you can get a feel for the property. Wedding venues in San Diego all offer different styles, from gardens and hacienda-style architecture to saltwater pools that you and your wedding party can jump into once you’ve had a few more drinks than you should have. Whether you want a traditional La Jolla ballroom where your crew can get drunky and funky on the dance floor, or award-winning gardens under the stars for a more elegant summer wedding reception, you’re going to want to walk the grounds before signing the dotted line on any San Diego wedding venue’s contract. Not to mention, simply checking out different event spaces and speaking with event planners will help you get more wedding inspiration.

Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa Reviews

According to reviews on The Knot, brides gave Estancia a 4.7 out of 5 star overall rating, making it one of the best overall San Diego wedding venues.

“I don’t even know where to begin about this incredible venue. Months back when my then fiancé & I were touring venues, we instantly knew Estancia La Jolla was the place we envisioned ourselves getting married. Megan gave us our first tour & I cannot explain how helpful she was in our wedding-planning process. From answering countless emails, to attending our menu tasting & even being present on our wedding day, our wedding wouldn’t have happened without her.”
