I have so many rad wedding photos I never shared a I have so many rad wedding photos I never shared and really I need to do that. Here is one those photos lost in my archives. Kristy & Spencer. It rained on their wedding day. For some brides that could be a thing. But it wasn’t for these two. What I remember was Kristy sharing a bottle of wine from her families’ vineyard during the ceremony, laughter, good times, and all of us sharing post-wedding beers at the Ponte Bar. Kristy is intelligent, kind and one hell of a dentist. Spencer is a 10 on the sex-o-meter and is so passionate about life. Together they are a mountain of 🧻 in a quarantine. That’s a good thing!
I also remember driving from SLO after a wedding to shoot their engagement session in SF. I recall rolling up in front of Kristy’s place and told them both to get in like I just robbed a place. Kristy gave me a huge hug, and I felt pumped to just be there with them. I had an ice chest full of beer in my car and Spencer wasted no time making himself comfortable.
This #quarantine has given us all time to reflect, and damn I’m thankful for the people I’ve crossed paths with who have been so awesome. I feel a sincere sense of gratitude when I look back on images like these. Because they remind me that so many rad people walk among us.

With all this free time people have from the #quar With all this free time people have from the #quarantine due to the #covid_19 virus I figured I would use this time to update my Instagram and drop some public service announcements.

Advice for my guy friends out there with extra time on their hands now.
Unfollow every chick on Instagram that’s doing it all for the engagement. That means - No more models
- No more dancers
- No more fitness influencers - No more random girl in yoga pants selling essential oils

Stop being a part of “their audience”

Stop being a thirsty fan dropping pervy comments and DMs
Have some self respect.
And wash your fucking hands :)
FACT: Sometimes it’s hard to strap on the camera FACT: Sometimes it’s hard to strap on the cameras and attack the day with enthusiasm and positive energy because the reality is sometimes we feel tired, uninspired, or just sad. Maybe even empty at times. Basically, a feeling like we as creatives or just as people have nothing to offer the world.. But life is bigger than you so you stop being a little bitch and kick ass. Send out good vibes and watch that energy ripple throughout the day. Stay focused on the bride, groom or any pairing of the two. Leave your problems in the car and be the person other people want to be around. Because nobody wants to be around someone complaining about their life. As Motley Crue would say it’s on with the show baby on with the show!
Tell me something good. Tell me something good.
I’m not dead. Even though not making a post on I I’m not dead. Even though not making a post on Instagram since July could lead some to believe that. But I’ve been shooting like crazy, working on other projects, enjoying life, and honestly feeling pretty rad about myself. Sometimes it just feels good to realize life doesn’t stop, your business doesn’t die and you can still connect with people without posting on Instagram daily, at certain times, and creating questions to solicit engagement for no other purpose then more likes. Life isn’t about likes. In fact, I don’t enjoy being around people who sacrifice the moment to pick up their phones and start sharing what they are doing for the currency of likes. I hate drinking with them. Life is about connecting with people and building real human relationships. But here is what I learned from my IG break:

1. My business does just fine without instagram.
2.I lost 500 followers. And I want to tell each one of them in a Italian accent, “go fak you self” —I’m not Italian BTW
3. The less I spend time online the more time I spent with real humans and real dogs.
So I have so many AMAZING photos of kick ass couples I had the pleasure to photograph over the last 6 months but I don’t even know where to start. Therefore, I will just start with a pre-beard photo of me and my girl Vienna at Ace Hotel, and reintroduce myself.
Hi I’m Ryan. And I hope you’re doing well on the other side of this message. I’m always here if you want to chat. Shoot me a DM about photography, drug addiction, SEO, parenting, MMA or whatever. We are connected for a reason and I hope if you like what I do or say you offer more than a like, but rather a conversation in comments or DM because that’s really the only reason I’m here: to talk with awesome people about the human experience. Cheers! 🍻
I’m watching the Wedding Singer right now and to I’m watching the Wedding Singer right now and totally forgot at one point in time @adamsandler was funny. Maybe I’m just a sucker for 80s music, but this film really is a gem when you’re looking to laugh on a Wednesday evening.

I drank champagne last night, woke up and felt like shit this morning, but now I’m ready for more champagne. Maybe it’s the seductive powers of the bubbly, or maybe it’s a standard case of alcoholism. Honestly, I don’t even care as long as my glass is chilled and full. 🥂🍾 #catalinaisland #catalinawinemixer #champagne

I was stoked to be the official witness to this wedding, official photographer and official recipient of some delicious IPAs from the brewery these two own in Australia. It’s always tough to be away from your family on holidays for work, but thankfully we will see her later tonight. Sending out positive vibes to all those working the 4th of July so others can have fun. Stay safe people. And keep your dogs inside :)
