Joshua Tree Destination Wedding
If there is one thing I love to do on St. Patrick’s Day it is drink my body weight in green colored beer. However, the early morning drinking was gonna have to be put on hold until the evening for this St. Patrick’s Day because a couple of crazy kids from Montreal were leaving the frigid Canadian winter to get married at Quail Springs Picnic Area in Joshua Tree, California. That meant I was going to grab my cameras “Bonnie & Clyde”, drive up to Joshua Tree and take some kick ass photos of some kick ass Canadians. And below are a handful of those wedding photos in Joshua Tree at Quail Springs Picnic Area from our time together on St. Patrick’s Day. So in closing let me just say that Steph and Mars were freaking awesome humans and that I hope my photographs capture them in all their wedding day glory. Cheers!

Joshua Tree Wedding Planning
Words From The Groom
“The idea of an intimate small wedding in Joshua Tree happened almost by chance. We didn’t want a big wedding or the steep price tag, and since Steph’s cousins and brother live in California, Joshua Tree seemed like a good location for an intimate destination wedding. Then, we knew we wanted a bit of an adventure and since we’ve never been to the desert before, making Joshua Tree the perfect fit. We chose the month of March because it was a good time of year to leave the bitter cold of Montreal for some California sunshine, and actually we met at an Irish pub oddly enough! How fitting with the unplanned St. Patrick’s wedding date and all! You would think we had this all figured out, but I guess it’s just…the luck of the Irish?”
Quail Springs Picnic Area Wedding
I had an absolute blast photographing these two Canadians at Quail Springs Picnic Area on St. Patrick’s Day! And don’t worry because I still made it home in time to knock back some red beers afters I backed up Steph and Mars’ Joshua Tree wedding and sent them some previews from the day. I totally wanted green beers but the only food coloring left in my house was red so I guess the drinking was more in honor of the millions of snakes that were violently forced out of their Irish homes by the butcher St. Patrick. Cheers!
P.S. THANK YOU to Steph and Mars for hooking me up with the most excellent bottle of 12-year Scotch! Your kindness is literally top-shelf!
