Lake Cuyamaca Engagement
As a man who has a deep love for good apple pie, I have always enjoyed visiting the city of Julian. The small San Diego county town is a great place to relax, get some grub, knock back some good beers and basically provide a little escape from the California heat. However, what many people don’t know is that only about 10 miles from Julian is a location called Lake Cuyamaca. Lake Cuyamaca is pretty freaking rad because I have never seen it packed with people, the scenery is gorgeous and you can taste that cool forest air. I love the place and that is why I was pretty damn stoked when Marcelline hit me up about going to Lake Cuyamaca for her and Mitch’s engagement session. I quickly said yes, we grabbed some beer and Jack Daniel’s and headed toward Lake Cuyamaca. I totally loved the setting and think the photographs came out exactly how I had hoped. There is a good mellow energy about the place and I think it can be felt in the images below. But then again what do I know? I am just a guy who has been editing photos all night and drinking Scotch. Speaking of which it is probably time for me to pour myself another glass.
Thanks Mitch and Marcelline for making the journey with me to Lake Cuyamaca! And an extra special thank you for picking up the pizza and IPA tab for the post-photo session celebratory dinner! Cheers to you!
