Haley & David’s Palm Springs Wedding

I get somewhere around 600 inquires a year for photography services needed whether that be in the form of engagement photos, corporate events or weddings, but rarely do I receive email inquires with the subject line “Punk Bengal Tigers & Our Wedding”. Needless to say, David had me interested in his Palm Springs wedding from the start! Unfortunately, David and his fiancee Haley planned on getting married in Palm Springs in August which is a month I typically take off from shooting weddings in Palm Springs. The reason? Temperatures in Palm Springs in August routinely hover around that 115 degree mark which makes me feel like I am going to black the f**k out. And honestly I feel I do not produce my best art when I get the sensation of blacking out. Unless of course I am on a dance floor when that type of carelessness can be a commodity. After I explained to David my position we continued to talk and worked out an agreement to move the wedding up from the late afternoon to the morning when it would be much cooler outside. That would allow us all to avoid the heat which would make the photography experience more pleasant for everyone involved: Bride, Groom, Guests, and Wedding Photographer! Now let’s fast forward to the actual wedding!

David and Haley’s wedding was set to go off at a gorgeous Airbnb that normally costs as much as $15,000 a night during the Coachella Music Festival, but they were able to score the amazing property for like $900 since it was off-season in the desert. This property had everything you can imagine and was truly the perfect location for these love birds and their friends+families. Everything about the day was low-stress and good vibes. We rocked the ceremony in a shaded area in the backyard, snapped photos in different spots throughout the property and then everyone pretty much jumped in the pool or grabbed a cocktail. Even though I was only taking photos for a few hours the day was awesome, and we captured a lot of good memories. Below are a handful of photos from David and Haley’s Palm Springs wedding!
