I have been a wedding photographer in Palm Springs for many years now so I have seen my fair share of mayhem in the desert. I’ve seen brides get knocked over tables during the father/daughter dance because pops was trashed from sangria, grooms lose their wedding rings, bridesmaid cat fights, grandmas taking Jameson shots and pretty much an assortment of awesomeness. Although raging wedding parties are always fun, the weddings that really keep me motivated through the triple digit Palm Springs heat are the ones that are thoughtful, funny and sincere. And that is exactly how I would describe Zach and Darryn’s Palm Springs wedding. These two guys had good energy from the start and were looking for simplicity with their wedding photography. They had a simple ceremony at a rental property surrounded by a handful of their closest friends, champagne and lots of laughs and tears. It was awesome. Unfortunately, this was an abnormally short photo session for me (approximately 2 hours), but I think the photographs showcase the authenticity and personality of these awesome dudes. Cheers Darryn and Zach! I hope you enjoyed your stay in Palm Springs and the next time you come down from the Pacific Northwest we can meet up at Ace Hotel or somewhere else for beers!
I’ve been lucky enough to photograph a number of small weddings at rental properties and I have to say they’ve all been fantastic. So if you are considering a Palm Springs destination wedding at a rental property do it! There are a ton of rad spots and you will get some private pool session time which is never a bad thing. Nude sunbathing is also an option.
